[mercury-users] possible cause of install errors Win32 Cygwin

my long time gnu nix habit of bash

  ./configure
  make
  make install

could be the cause?

Will now try

  sh configure

to see if this is a Bourne sh versus bash issue in the configure script.

But is is Thanksgiving Day here in Canada today, so I may not report
back until the morrow
