I don't remeber exactly what --control-granularity does, it may have been
relevant to Jerome's work which mine replaced wholesale.

--implicit-parallelism is definitly experimental.  For some programs it
works well, but there are many that it doesn't.  It's worth a shot for any
given program but there's a good chance that it won't be useful.  (Not
without further work and some fixes.)
