Further to this, I recently had reason to use the debugger and found it a
somewhat painful experience.  In fact, I gave up altogether and resorted to
littering my program with printfs, er... io__formats.

BUG REPORT: the debugger needs a one or two page example of use in the
documentation.

REQUEST: I would like the ability to define macros that issue more than one
command to the debugger - e.g. `forward; print *'.
