I seem to recall that there is a problem with the fact that the dll
knows its name.  If you rename it to libpar_gc.dll it thinks its name is
gc.dll and it causes problems when using the dll.  I may be wrong, it is
a long time since I did the original port.

So if anyone knows how to rename a DLL that would be great.
