Well, I can't review the patch until there's documentation
that explains what the intended semantics of the new feature is.

But apart from that, there's no particular urgent need.

It does need to be fixed before this gets merged onto the main
branch, though.

OK, that's a bug in the current web pages (that they only show the
docs for the main branch, and give no indication that this is
a snapshot).  We should fix it.
