I started experimenting with GitLab's free CI here:
https://gitlab.com/wangp-ci/mercury-experimental/pipelines

Only Linux/x86_64 for the moment; other platforms may be available.
For now I've just been triggering tests manually. Travis CI did not work
because the jobs are limited to about 50 mins which is not enough.
