[m-dev.] Autogenerated C files in slice and ssdb

I've noticed that in the released Mercury tarballs, the slice and ssdb
directories contain .c files that have been generated from .m files. These .c
files are not deleted when running configure if the 'best grade for the
compiler' != 'bootstrap grade'. From configure.in:

find library compiler browser mdbcomp analysis \
                       profiler deep_profiler \
                        -name \*.c -o -name \*.c_date | \
                        xargs rm > /dev/null 2>&1

Is this an oversight or am I missing something?

Thanks

Keri
