Yes.  I am currently working on a description of implementing and using op/3 declarations in Mercury.  It is in draft form (WARNING: incomplete!) at http://www.logicaltypes.com/literature/mutable-syntax-in-mercury.html.  

Does the sample using module at http://www.logicaltypes.com/share/play.m.gz help at all?

I'm busy the rest of today, but I will 'diff -u' those files as soon as I can.
