Hi

Be glad Mercury has a sane module system. I just made a minor change
to a non-inlinable, non-templated C++ file, and then had to wait about
an hour for a recompile when Sun's C++ compiler decided to reinstantiate
the templates for about 1/2 a million lines of code. And that was
after spending most of the day fiddling variable scopes to work around
a compiler bug that meant that exceptions were getting lost (that is
getting thrown, then not being caught by a catch for that exception).
:-(

OTOH, Purify is a *cool* tool.
