Not so much a comment on your code, but don't forget to add yourself
to compiler/notes/authors.html.  While you're at it, add any other
people that look missing (I noticed the absences of David Overton,
Chris Speirs, Peter Schachte, Vanessa Teague, Bert Thompson and
Warwick Harvey).
