[mercury-users] Proposed change to char literal syntax

Hi Michael,

I now understand your proposal.  The problem with it is that it doesn't
fix the problem I described, namely the type inference explosion that
can occur when trying to distinguish between chars and single-letter
data constructors.  What I want to do is make char literals completely
separate from other names so that this cannot occur.
