Would this file be a fact-table equivalent?  Without the associated
fact_table declaraion (because it has types more complex than builtins)?
I have this problem myself.

I think this problem will become more common ... is there a fix 
underway for a more expressive fact_table declaration?  Will the
mode system improvements improve the compiler's ability to
compile very huge (machine-generated, even) Mercury modules?
 'Very huge' could be tens or hundreds of megabytes.
