[mercury-users] Mercury for Mingw

Well, I've downloaded and unzipped the mercury-mingw binaries but that's about
all I've been able to accomplish (being unfamiliar with unix conventions
doesn't help in this regard).

Several executables are produced, scattered over many directories none of
which are able to find the cygwin1.dll and none of which can be invoked from
the bash shell.

The reliance on cygwin less than ideal for a windows user like myself. Anyway,
I'm willing to wrestle with it in order to try the compiler. Could anyone
point me to the minimal information necesary to get started? For example, do I
have to edit any files to get the bash shell to recognize the new executables?

Thanks.
