Peter Schachte used to hack Interlisp.  This looks a lot like Interlisp
loops (and therefore a lot like loops in CLtL2).  I can't help wondering
whether something modelled on "Series" (see CLtL2 for details) would fit
into Mercury.

(I used to hack Interlisp too.  I don't think that looking like Interlisp
is bad, not at all.)
