It looks so ; when I compile a program with dynamic linking, ldd
indicates that the asm_jump.gc grade libraries are expected by the
executable :

mmc --link-flags --shared  eliza.m

$ ldd eliza
        libmer_std.so =>
.../lib/mercury/lib/asm_jump.gc/i586-pc-linux-gnu/libmer_std.so
(0x40014000)
        ...

I tried on other programs, and it's always asm_jump.gc
