The following test cases are failing on hg.
Zoltan, could you please investigate and/or fix the ones below marked `(zs)'?
I'll do the ones marked `(fjh)'.

`any' insts (fjh)
The problem here was exposed by David Overton's changes to add support for
polymorphic insts, but the real cause is probably that the output of some
of the compiler passes is not mode-correct.
	extras/clpr/samples/tranny.c
	extras/clpr/trailed_update/var.c

Goal paths (zs)
The following debugger test cases are failing, due to differences in the
output/expected values for the goals paths:
	tests/debugger/loopcheck.res
	tests/debugger/polymorphic_output.res
	tests/debugger/declarative/throw.res

type tables (zs)
	tests/hard_coded/type_tables fails in MLDS grades

MLDS back-end (fjh)
Several test cases are still failing in grade hlc.gc:
copy_pred.out (not yet implemented, but ought to be -- need to fix)
factt_non.c (not yet implemented, should disable test case)
split_c_files.split (not yet implemented, should disable test case)
