[m-dev.] upgrade to gc-5.0alpha3

Hi,

I recently upgraded the version of the Boehm GC that we are using
by doing a `cvs import' and merging in the changes from gc-5.0alpha3.
One reason for doing that is because this version includes several
recent platform-specific fixes e.g. it fixes a problem with -DLINUX_THREADS
on glibc 2.1.  Another reason is that this version includes extra support
for debugging memory leaks, which I want to use because currently the GC
leaks memory when running the Mercury compiler.

I didn't post a diff, because I don't think it would be useful.
This mail is just to let you know what's happening, in lieu of a diff.
