[m-users.] Practicality of using inst subtyping

Hi!

Subtyping would have been perfect for my purpose. I already had it worked
out. But then the lack of support by the standard libraries has upset my
plans. 

I started to copy parts of the standard list library, assigning modes which
allowed subtyping, but that has shown to be impractical. Because the
predicates/functions which are used by the intended predicates/functions
have to be converted too...

Now I'll have to do it differently.
