Hi Sandy, there are some interesting articles about many of the concepts of Mercury on the (abandoned) blog "Adventures in Mercury" http://adventuresinmercury.blogspot.com/ It's probably less didactic than the Mercury book tutorial, but shows many features and explains their usage quite well.
