There are a number of Mercury specific changes that are required but
they are all fairly minor.

The procedure we use for upgrading the version in the CVS repository
is described in compiler/notes/upgrade_boehm_gc.html.
Upgrading the collector in local copy of Mercury would, I suspect, be
fairly difficult.

How urgent is this?
