Yes, this helps to sove those issue, but another one appears. After
almost 6 hours of compilation I saw another strange message from gcc:
=====================
io.c:92120: note: 'IO0' was declared here
gcc: Internal error: Killed (program cc1)
Please submit a full bug report.
See <http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla> for instructions.
gmake[2]: *** [io.o] Error 1
gmake[2]: Leaving directory
`/home/petro/rpmbuild/BUILD/mercury-compiler-rotd-2008-08-16/install_grade_dir.none.gc.decldebug/library'
To clean up from failed install, remove
/home/petro/rpmbuild/BUILD/mercury-compiler-rotd-2008-08-16/install_grade_dir.none.gc.decldebug
gmake[1]: *** [install_grades] Error 1

=====================
gcc-4.3.0
glibc-2.8
Fedora 9, for PowerPC (G4 if it does matter).
there is a full build log:
http://peter.fedorapeople.org/mercury-build.2.log
Fedora 9 ships with old gcc also (ver. 3.4, in so-called
compat-package), but even if I'll be able to build Mercury with it,
I'm sure that this would be a blocker for submitting Mercury into main
Fedora/RHEL repository.
I'll try to build it on x86 arch also, but later.
