[mercury-users] gcc-3.3 on MacOS X Intel

Hi,

It appears that gcc-3.3 is not supported on MacOS X on Intel platforms, 
and the README.MacOS file for Mercury claims that Apple's gcc-4.0 will 
not work with Mercury.

What is the best workaround for this problem? It seems that it may be 
possible in some circumstances to compile a patched Apple gcc-3.3 on 
MacOS X Intel, has anyone tried this with Mercury?

Alternatively, what would it take to make Mercury happy with Apple's 
gcc-4.0?
