This is running gcc32 on Fedora Core 4. Note that I was attempting to
compile Mercury rotd-2005-01-11, if that matters.

It's a minor point, but it does seem that few Linux distributions ship
with a gcc capable of building Mercury out of the box; Fedora Core 4 for
example ships with gcc 3.2.3 and gcc 4.0, neither of which will work very
well.
