If you mean the mercury packages that are (still) in the Debian archive,
they are ancient and you probably shouldn't be using them.

I recently created some new packages of mercury for debian sid/unstable.
You can find them at:
http://www.cs.mu.oz.au/~hawkinsp/

Since for some perverse reason Mercury chooses to use the same C
compiler (as defined by the CC environment variable) that was used to
build the package as when installed, you'll have
to install the ccache and gcc-3.2 packages as well.

I might upload Mercury to the debian archive again (although it would
help if there was actually another release - there hasn't been one in
over a year).
