[mercury-users] Genetic algorithm to find C optimization flags

It would be interesting to use this to find the set of options which
improved the performance of the C code generated by the Mercury compiler
the most.  I suspect because we generate atypical C code, the set of
options that are most useful would be suprising.

Of course the same approach could be used with the Mercury compiler
optimization levels.  Maybe a summer student project?
