[mercury-users] This Year's Mercury Entry for the ICF 2001 Contest

This year's Mercury entry (no. 263, team "Heavy Metal", program name
"Exhaustion") made it into the final round of judging, competing against
nine other programs (this was the bugfixed version - four bytes of 
source code had to be fixed in the original, leaving this entry in the
can-compete-but-can't-win category - and beat 161 other entries to get
to this point).

Defeated at the last minute by appending an erroneous single white
space to the output, it performed respectably (rank 3 or 4) on 
four of the tests and not so well (rank 8, 9 or 10) on the others.  It
was never going to win any prizes for time, since its strategy was to
continually search for more refined solutions until the time limit.

Not bad, shame about the bug :(
