[mercury-users] Mac OS X Compilation

Hello!

There has been a fair amount of discussion about getting Mercury to 
compile on Mac OS X.

Unfortunately, the information about what actions are required has become 
smeared
out over a couple of dozen messages in the mercury-users and m-dev. 
mailing lists.

Could someone please put together a single list of the patches and other
requirements discovered to be necessary (so far!) to get Mercury compiling 
under Mac OS X
and make it public somewhere?
