Yes, that's exactly right, this is a new feature which has been added
since 0.9.1. The documentation on the web page is for the latest
release-of-the-day. Your test program works fine with the latest
release-of-the-day.
The distribution of 0.9.1 will have come complete with its own copy of
the documentation (in several formats: DVI, info, and HTML).
If you want to know which features are in 0.9.1, you can use that
documentation.
