Microsoft's new language.

Take Java, add unsafe pointers (done similarly to unsafe modules in
Modula), add attributes, properties and events, subtract inner classes.
A few syntactic differences.  C# has most of the features available in
the underlying .NET platform.

You can borrow the book "Presenting C#" from me if you want.  (IMHO
it's not a very good book).
