[mercury-users] Semidet functions

A while back I went through the standard library adding function versions
of all det predicates with a single output.

Question: should we do the same for semidet predicates?  Personally I quite
like the style and certainly make use of semidet functions in my code;
however, I'd like to know how people feel about it as a policy.  If there's
enough support for the idea I'll try to get round to adding the new
functions.
