[mercury-users] library distribution?

Hello.

I was just wondering - does anyone think it would be worthwhile to have a
distribution of just the mercury runtime and standard library available in
binary format from the website? If/when the time comes that people start
releasing software written in Mercury, I'm sure people won't want to have
to download the whole compiler just to run some funky new program they
got.
Just like how you can get the C libraries without needing to get (g)cc.
We'd probably only need to put them up in the asm_fast.gc grade, and once
accurate garbage collection is happenening, asm_fast.agc as well.

just a thought..
