Hi Zoltan,

I haven't had a chance to review this yet, but either this change or
the following one appear
to have broken compilation of the library in the
asm_fast.gc.profdeep.tr.stseg grade in this
evening's rotd build. Specifically, attempting to build
library/deconstruct.c results in:

Uncaught Mercury exception:
Software Error: predicate
`check_hlds.inst_test.inst_list_is_ground_mt_2'/5: Unexpected: length
mismatch
Stack dump not available in this grade.
