Attempting to build samples/diff using mmc --make using MSVC as the C
compiler results in:

MISMATCH 1 for

Mercury\objs\diff.obj vs Mercur
y\os\diff.obj

(A bootcheck on Windows using gcc was successful, but it uses .o as the
object file extension, even on Windows.)
