Would anyone object if I created a compiler module to contain
the code that can be factored out of mlds_to_*.m, either under
the name mlds_to_x_util.m or some other? Until now, I have
been putting such code in ml_util.m, but for some of this stuff,
I am pretty sure that the modules that actually *generate* MLDS
won't be interested.

If you vote for "some other name", please propose one.
