[m-rev.] diff: tests/run_one_test

This diff removes a "set -x" from tests/run_one_test
(amongst other changes), in order to remove clutter
from the output of tools/bootcheck. Does anyone disagree
with that?

I think that ideally, for each test case, we should print
only either

RUNNING TEST testcasename  ... PASSED

or

RUNNING TEST testcasename ... FAILED
a log of what happened for the test case (as now)

Would anyone object if I modified the test system
to do this?
