Could you please do some more testing on Linux/x86-64.  The GCC 4 related
problems seem to be exasabated on this achitecture.  If you need any testing
environments or access to more versions of GCC and Linux let us know.  We can
setup virtual machines to help with this.

I'll review the patch later.
