I've spoken with my boss about this and my other priorities.  My other tasks
are more important so I'm afraid this will have to wait.  If someone else
wants to work on it that'd be great.

One additional thought for anyone (or future-me) is that we need to confirm
that the same alignment gaurantee is also given to "large objects" in Boehm
GC.  I have only read the code for small objects.
