[m-dev.] ROTD failing to compile

Hi,

I had such a problem with newer ROTDs from May/June when trying to
compile with 14.01.1 or without any mmc in PATH.

For me, there was a problem with the generated "mercury_compile"
program, for the same file as for you.

Using gcc 4.7 under Debian, I managed to compile ROTD 03-10 (I did not
try others in between). Using 03-10 as basis to compile the current ones
was no problems, even using gcc 4.9.
