[m-dev.] errors in Cygwin build 10.04.2

on the plus side: a simple cleanup of the boehm_gc and the
  ./configure
  make
  make install

now run fine down at that level.

This cygwin is on an i: drive and mounted as
 /cygdrive/i/cygwin

The first oddity was that deep profiler would not build until I
created a bogus i:\usr\lib\cgi-bin  to supplement or complement or
just fake-out the /cygdrive/i/cygwin/usr/lib/cgi-bin

The second oddity was a warning about a lib/mercury/mdb   not existing

A check moments later in a DOS window reveals
 I:\cygwin\usr\local\mercury-10.04.2\lib\mercury\mdb

but the install warring IIRC was not able to proceed

I will look for this "nonexistent" dir name now ,,,
