Sure, no worries. I was just kidding (and enquiring about the approval 
process).

I won't commit anything and I'm planning to change the reference manual 
first -- once I know which way should I do it.

To be constructive, here are the options:

!mytype::!ground
   Peter
   # this would probably block the extension until I comprehend all that
   # is needed
!mytype::(in, out)
   Ondrej, Julien, Ben, originally Ralph
!mytype::!(in, out)
   Ralph currently?
a hybrid of inst/modes
   Ondrej (just to get the modes way available soon)

If I misunderstood or omitted your preference, please fix that. If 
anyone has the decisive power, please express that.
