I'm not sure about obscurity as I don't know anything about RTrees other than
what a quick google told me (perhaps you could elaborate on their uses) so
I'm uncertain as to whether they should be added to the standard library.
(Even if we don't add them to the standard library there is no reason why
they cannot be made part of the extras distribution.)
