[m-dev.] Mercury and gcc 4.1

I've just tried Mercury out with gcc 4.1.  It now bootstraps and passes most
of the tests in grade hlc.gc with gcc 4.1.  The failing test cases are either
ones that are failing anyway or are due to changes in the way gcc formats
#error directives - it now appends column numbers to the line numbers.

The asm_fast grades still seem to be a no go but I haven't checked whether
that's for the same reasons as with gcc 4.0.X yet.

(gcc 4.1 is installed at /home/earth/public/gcc/install/gcc-4.1.0/bin on
earth)
