I'm continuously doing a mmake realclean ;-) 

$ mmake realclean
$ ./configure --prefix=/home/nancy/mercury/intern/systems/main-branch --enable-libgrades="hlc.gc hlc.gc.prof hlc.gc.memprof"
$ mmake depend
$ mmake 

That's my standard procedure...
