[m-dev.] `quotes' v.s. 'quotes'

Apparently using `...' for single quotes (`like this') is now officially
deprecated <http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~mgk25/ucs/quotes.html> :-(

So at some point in the future we may need to change this in
the output of the Mercury compiler.  I'm in no hurry, though.

It would be interesting, though, to do a quick survey;
how many people reading this message saw the ' displayed
as a right single quote symbol?
And how many saw it as a straight vertical quote symbol?
(Please email replies directly to me and I'll post a summary
of the results to the list.)
