[m-dev.] Mmake suggestion

A thought just occurred to me: would it be possible to arrange for
Mmake to put builds for different grades in different subdirectories
(or somesuch) of the Mercury directory?  This would obviate the need
to do `mmake clean' when changing between, say, debugging and
non-debugging grades.
