Basically someone here needs to add an entry for you to the CVS password file
(/home/mercury1/repository/CVSROOT/passwd), which I have just done.

Then you just need to do
	
	CVSROOT=:pserver:dgenehy at hydra.cs.mu.oz.au:/home/mercury1/repository 
	export CVSROOT
	cvs login
	cvs checkout mercury

`cvs login' will prompt you for a password;
I will communicate that to you separately.
