I don't think we want to spend a lot of time porting Mercury
to obscure platforms, but it might be nice to just see if it
compiles "out-of-the-box", and to fix any simple things that
go wrong.

Perhaps it would be best to wait and see how the Linux/PPC
port goes before trying Linux/MIPS.
